Hey, I hope this works, adding links for reference. Files are 542k, so should be pretty quick off my Cable to see.
I have just about everything tweeked about as good as I can get it in Advmenu for DOS. I am using only the following lines for Video:
device_video_modeline "640x480@70" 28.75 640 672 776 808 480 489 495 505
device_video_pclock 8-90
device_video_hclock 15.75
device_video_vclock 50-70
One last question I had for you, not sure which setting it could be but here goes.
One last note, the pics are bad quality and look distorted. This is only my shaky hand+maybe the angle. The picture is amazingly clear. Text fonts could be a bit better in menu side, but thats not a big issue.
1. This pic#1:
guardian.yi.org/MenuFits.JPG
Shows the list+Screenshot fitting perfectly filling up the screen. I am not into boarders and stuff, I just like to fill the screen with video. Notice there that its 1942 with the scores at the top, this is important for the next picture.
2. This pic#2:
guardian.yi.org/BoxFits.JPG
When starting a game thats ?newer? or on a square monitor like 88 games the info screen shows exactly in on the monitor, so you know the game will be perfect.
3. The pic#3:
guardian.yi.org/BoxDoesntFit.JPG
This is an ?older? game 1941 info box, that you can't see the top and bottom, its SO close, like a few centimeters, you know the game isn't going to fit exactly like 88 Games.
4. the pic#4
guardian.yi.org/GameDoesntFit.JPG
This is actual gameplay of 1941 and from the first picture to this one, you can see the score, player etc are just off the screen at the top, and a bit at the bottom which exactly fits the info box idea.
I think that is quite enough links for one post If you just go to the folder, there are other pics if you want to see more.
So, I know one option is to keep messing with the POTS on the monitors hardware controls, but I want to really avoid that option. I got the 4x3 games working perfect, just need these vertical games to fit better. Any advice? Sorry about the long post!
P.S. Don't want to show the whole cabinet until I am all done, hehe.
