I honestly have to say that my favorite past console game has to be Pitfall. The Activision games just kicked a$$. Chopper Command need I say more? I could play this game forever. I think the one game I play the most today on my X-Box would be a runoff between Halo and Splinter Cell. Favorite past arcade game would be between Defender, Joust and Tron. Favorite arcade game today I really couldn't say it since I don't actually play alot of arcade games anymore. But I love Sniper and any of the realistic police shooter games.

Hmmm, favorite console game, huh? Well, lets think, I would have to say Super Mario Bros. 3. I remember all the hype for it including the movie "The Wizard" which some people claim was just a 1 hr and 30 min Nintendo commercial. However, it was the one game I remember living up to the hype.
Of the newer consoles, I would have to say that the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series are some of my favorite games. The funny thing there is I don't even like to skateboard, but it is just a fun game to play in any form. Of course, the console translations of arcade games always rank in my favor too. Games like the Tekken Series, Mortal Kombat Series, and anything with Street Fighter characters is always fun to play.

If I remember correctly, Mario 3 was the one where you could get the racoon tail right? Out of all the Mario games, I thought that one was the best. Super Mario on 64 bores me to tears.

Bitnerd, You are correct! Super Mario Bros. 3 was the first (and only to my recollection) Mario Bros. game that had the Leaf that would give you the Racoon Tail. Yeah, I'm with you on Super Mario 64. I beat the game in 11 days with no game guide. It took me a month just to get past the first world in Super Mario Bros. 3. Games now a days are just too easy!

Yeah, the playability of Mario 3 was awesome. I think 64 got lost in the 3D'ness of it all or sumtin. Oh well. I guess new doesn't mean better. Perfect example is my girlfriend's son's birthday party. He had a PS2 running in his bedroom, Nintendo 64 on a 37 inch TV in the living room. Doncha know, all the kid were lined up to play the old pacman!
